Overview and prerequisites
This guide tackles the automated deployment of Self-Announcing Netprobes (SAN probes) on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The automation of Netprobe deployment is done using:
Scripts are provided to make it easier to set up and manage your cloud resources. Through this process, you can easily deploy, upgrade, and backup your SAN probes. This also ensures:
- Faster and consistent deployments across cloud environments
- Reduced operational overhead for setting up configurations
- Easier management of multi-cloud environments
- Optimized costs, only deploying probes when needed
Prerequisites Copied
Several prerequisites must be set up in various stages of the deployment process. To start, ensure to prepare the following:
- Terraform CLI installed
- Command line tool of your cloud provider installed
- AWS CLI
- Azure CLI
- Google Cloud SDK
- Authentication to access your AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
- Access to your AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud projects
- AWS key pair created in your target region
- Azure subscription with appropriate permissions
- Google Cloud project with required APIs enabled
