AWS CloudFormation deployment overview
AWS CloudFormation is the native IaC service for AWS. You can use CloudFormation templates provided to deploy AWS resources with a Netprobe, enabling declarative, repeatable, and governed management of infrastructure and observability agent deployments using AWS-native tooling.
Through the templates, you can automatically:
- Create your AWS resources.
- Install and configure the Netprobe.
- Set up your monitoring services.

The following YAML templates are provided. Select which template is most appropriate for your requirements.
- EC2 with Netprobe — provisions an EC2 Fleet with multiple instances configured with Self-Announcing Netprobe.
- Existing EC2 with Netprobe — configures Netprobe on existing EC2 instances using the AWS Systems Manager (SSM).
- Update Netprobe — updates Netprobe on existing EC2 instances using the AWS Systems Manager (SSM).
- Rollback Netprobe — rolls back the Netprobe installation on existing EC2 instances using the AWS Systems Manager (SSM).
- Uninstall Netprobe — uninstalls the Netprobe on existing EC2 instances using the AWS Systems Manager (SSM).
Ensure that you meet the prerequisites for your selected template. Once prerequisites have been fulfilled, you can run the templates with all the required parameters.
