Concept topics provide context and background information to help users have a better understanding of a certain subject before delving into more intricate details.

Title Copied

Use a noun-based title that contains the name of the topic in question. Ensure the keyword is the first word in the title or is placed as much as possible to the beginning of the title.

Provide a clear and concise definition of the concept. It should also answer these questions:

Make sure to provide the most essential information first, followed by the less important details. If necessary, organize content into paragraphs and subsections. You may also provide analogies, comparisons, historical background or use cases for better understanding.

## Overview
Active Console is a standalone application that allows you to connect to and view the contents of Geneos Gateways. It has a graphical user interface (GUI) that presents high-level (via dashboards and graphs) and low-level (via tables and rows) real-time monitoring. It also allows control functionality, such as viewing alerts, executing commands, and running rules.

Optionally, use a diagram, screenshots and any graphical representation to demonstrate how the concept is structured to illustrate where it is placed in the larger system. However, be mindful not to overwhelm the document with unnecessary visuals if the concept can be adequately explained by text alone.
