Mandatory License Daemon Upgrade (v7.8)

Effective 29th Jan, ITRS will be issuing Geneos licence keys in a new format that will be incompatible with versions older than 7.8 of the licence daemon.

What this means:

1. All clients needing new licence keys from tomorrow onwards will need to upgrade their licence daemon to version 7.8
2. We will be granting short term key extensions for 1 month only, should clients need time to upgrade the licence daemon
3. If a client needs longer than 1 month or requests a further extension after that, this must be approved by either Grant Harper, Daan de Voogd or Ryan Terpstra

We have a number of licences expiring in the next month. Sales and Support are already proactively working together on.

What this means:

• For Support; a change in process around creating new Geneos license keys; selecting “2026” and not “OLD” where the format is shown (license documentation process to be updated)

There is no room for error in issuing an OLD format license without prior approval.
