Reclaim disk space after disabling the ODW

After disabling the ODW, data in the ODW database is retained for its retention period. Data is only dropped from the ODW when it ages out of its retention period and is removed by the daily housekeeping task. This guide shows you how to safely remove all data from the disabled ODW to reclaim disk space.

Process Copied

1. Log in to the orchestrator as root.
2. Switch to the opsview user using su:

su - opsview

3. Run the db_odw script with the db_install option:

/opt/opsview/coreutils/bin/db_odw db_install
