The Gateway Setup Editor failed to save - CRITICAL Setup cannot be applied as cache corruption was previously detected. Remove the cache and restart the Gateway

Problem: Copied

Gateway Setup Editor failed to save changes, it displays the error:

CRITICAL Setup cannot be applied as cache corruption was previously detected. Remove the cache and restart the Gateway.

The errors appear in the gateway log:

ERROR: SetupManager Unrecoverable error. Cache corruption detected and unable to correct. Could not create cache called 'schemamanager-component-versions' in './cache': UnixFile::createNewDirectory: File access error. File "./cache/C736368656D616D616E616765722D636F6D706F6E656E742D76657273696F6E73". Error (2), No such file or directory
Delete the cache directory and restart the Gateway.

Delete the cache directory and restart the Gateway.
ERROR: RequirementCacheFile Unable to read from licence cache file ./licences.cache. Error: Unique name from verified file is not correct

Possible cause: Copied

  1. The account used to start the gateway doesn’t have the right permission
  2. Check if the directory is used by multiple gateways. Each gateway should have its own unique working directory. Otherwise, there will be other issues for snooze and user assignment files overwriting each other between gateways. Please find out the situation if there is a gateway standby server as well.
