How to determine if a certain mount point exists in the disk sampler

• How to determine if a certain mount point exists in the disk sampler? For example, alert if “/backup” does not exist.

• You can use expect_row and expect_row_list functionality.
• When configured this adds another column to the dataview titled “Availability”. This column will then have 3 possible values “Present”, “Absent” and “”. If the row is defined in the expect_row/list then it will have a value of “Present” or “Absent”. If it is not defined then it will be blank.
• Once you have the new column, you can create rules to monitor the availability of the disk.
