Authentication - How to configure user permissions for modifying include files only

If you want to define roles and different levels of access to the GSE please see the example and configuration steps below. The configuration depends on where the Rules section is located. If the Rules section is in the Main Setup file,do the following:

2. On the right pane, click the Advanced tab.

3. Tick the check box of the Enable section permissions.

4. On the Navigation pane, create a new role through Roles.

5. Add a Sections permission and do the following configurations:

6. Allow: choose Selected ;

7. Sections Path: set to Rules Geneos - Authentication - How to configure user permissions for modifying include files only 6. Add a Setup permission and do the following configurations:

8. Tick the Main file check box

9. Access: set to Apply;

11. Follow steps #1 to #6 in the previous instruction above. 2. Add another Setup permission with the following configuration:

12. Add include.xml location path to File section of Setup (ie. /home/gelo/gateway.setup.7039.include.xml) ;

13. Access: set to Apply
