What does the XPath ancestor::* represent and why is it reporting such high numbers

When viewing the GatewayLoad sampler the ancestor::* XPath will always be displayed and will show a far higher invocation and totalTime value than other XPaths.

Geneos - What does the XPath ancestor::* represent and why is it reporting such high numbers

This is not an XPath that would have been configured in the setup editor, it is used by the system to match all ancestors of the previous elements and show information about all XPath evaluations within the gateway (both configured items such as rule targets and internal tasks i.e. Commands, or Sampling Interval)

It is not something that can be edited with regard to improving computational time, (How do I avoid expensive XPaths), hence it can be ignored.
