Why can't I create a Graph Collection?

One of the possible reasons is that the service name has a colon ( : ) or a forward slash ( / ) character.

When creating a Graph Collection you will get an error like below:

Alert: ERROR: Sorry, but we can´t find any data using config file "ping.cfg", Read FAQ online

Workaround:

You need to rename the service to remove the colon ( : ) and the forward slash ( / ) characters. Note that renaming services will create a new graph and will disregard the old graph.

Permanent solution:

Will be fixed by MON-12438 that will disallow : and /object names by default upon creation.
