How is Geneos affected by changes for Windows WMI / DCOM Server Security Feature Bypass (CVE-2021-26414)

Microsoft have enabled the hardening on DCOM servers by default this option cannot be disabled.

Geneos Netprobes and the WMI plugin will NOT be affected by the DCOM hardening since WMI queries are executed by the Netprobe internally. A Netprobe it is installed on the same host where the plugin will be run the query against.

Netprobe as it is running in the local machine it will not use remote procedure calls (RPCs)

i.e. Securing a remote WMI connection isn’t required.
