How is "timeDifference" reported in the Hardware plugin?

The timeDifference is an older metric reported in Hardware plugin. It is the difference in seconds between the Gateway host and the monitored host. A number of factors can introduce a margin of error to this time difference.

The Netprobe has been enhanced to support monitoring of NTP and newer technologies. As of Geneos version GA5.13.0 (COL-10541), the Hardware plugin can provide the below sources:

We recommend that you use NTP and NTP-related fields, such as timeSyncOffset, as these provide a more accurate measurement of time.
