Disk - ERROR: Failed to execute Linux Disk - plugin DISK timed out
Problem: Encountering errors with disk sampling Copied
DEBUG: DISK:<diskname> Skipping. NFS Partition (<partition path>) is not included in the list
ERROR: Failed to execute Linux Disk - plugin DISK timed out
It appears that the disk sampler is encountering difficulties retrieving stat values for specific NFS partitions (as illustrated above). Subsequently, the disk sampler times out.
Solution Copied
Attempt to exclude the problematic “partition path” and observe if the Disk sampler provides an output.
If this does not solve the problem, kindly send the following for further investigation:
-
If the Netprobe crashes after the disk sampler timed out it will generate a core file, kindly send us the core file.
-
The XML file of the Disk sampler
-
A screenshot of the Disk dataview showing full context of all columns
- The command output from the netprobe host: cat /etc/mtab
- Run the “df” command and check how long it takes to query for all partitions, including NFS share(s).
