Gateway - ERROR: GatewayLoad Unable to read file <filename>.xml. Errno: 2

Problem: Copied

When starting the Gateway, an error appears in the logs stating: “Unable to read file .xml. Error code: 2.” What does this mean?

Actual example of error details:

ERROR: GatewayLoad Unable to read file gatewaystats.xml. Errno: 2
ERROR: GatewayLoad Unable to read file stats.xml. Errno: 2

The default name for this is stats.xml and this option can be found on the Operating Environment > Advanced tab:

• Root Cause 1: Incorrect File Path: The Gateway might be looking for gatewaystats.xml in the wrong directory.
• Root Cause 2: Permissions Issue: The Geneos Gateway process might not have the necessary read permissions for the file.
