Why are the Active Console and Web Dashboard fonts different
The fonts being used by the Active Console dashboard objects do not exist in the Web Dashboard server.
Before continuing, the steps below work on a Web Dashboard that is packaged with its own JRE/Java. Most of the instructions are taken from PCWorld.
Instructions for GA4.12 and post-GA4.12 Web Dashboards Copied
- Identify the font being used by the dashboard objects.

For Microsoft’s TrueType Core fonts, which are Andale Mono, Arial, Arial Black, Comic Sans MS, Courier New, Georgia, Impact, Times New Roman, Trebuchet, Verdana, and Webdings:
- Option 1: Install the
corefontsfont package of your server version. - Option 2: Follow the steps mentioned in the Instructions for pre-GA4.12 Web Dashboards section of this article.

For Microsoft’s ClearType fonts, which are Constantia, Corbel, Calibri, Cambria, Candara, and Consolas, do the following:
- Create a
fontsfolder in your Web Dashboard’sJRE/libfolder. - Download the fonts_microsoft_cleartype.tar.gz file that is included in this article.
- Extract the fonts to your Web Dashboard’s
JRE/lib/fontsfolder.
- Create a
- Shut down the Web Dashboard process.
- Start the Web Dashboard process.
Instructions for pre-GA4.12 Web Dashboards Copied
- Download the microsoft_fonts.tar.gz file that is included in this article.
- Extract the fonts to your Web Dashboard’s
JRE/lib/fontsfolder. - Shut down the Web Dashboard process.
- Start the Web Dashboard process.
