New features and enhancements Copied
These are the new features and enhancements of this release:
Discovery and investigation Copied
- Introduced a log sources table that displays matching sources, counts, and first and last entry timestamps, making it easier to identify which services and components are producing relevant logs.
- A detailed log entries view with pagination, sorting, and contextual row actions helps you inspect matching log lines in a structured format and move from summary to detail without leaving the app.
- Direct navigation support lets you open the Logs app from shared URLs or from the Entity Viewer with the relevant log source already selected, reducing the number of steps needed to begin troubleshooting.
Search and filtering Copied
- An advanced filter builder supports message content, exact and negated terms, severity, attributes, trace IDs, and span IDs, allowing customer support and operations teams to refine searches even when they start with only partial information.
- Shareable log source filter configurations, together with access controls and YAML import and export, make it easier to reuse common investigation views across teams and environments.
Operational visibility Copied
- The landing-page Log Volume chart visualizes log throughput over the selected time range, making it easier to identify unusual behavior and investigate the affected services.
Performance and usability Copied
- Responsiveness and reliability have been improved through server-side sorting and pagination, debounced search requests, support for searches containing special characters, fixes for lazy loading, and a clearer message when the logs service is not enabled in the environment.
