How to monitor Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers?
This article describes how to use OP5 Monitor when monitoring Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and CentOS target servers. We provide some examples of basic monitoring, so that you can create even more solutions to your needs.

Prerequisites
You will need to install the NRPE client on any RHEL based servers to be monitored. Check out the article here for detailed instructions.
Adding the server and basic checks Copied
Now are you ready to add your new RHEL based server to your OP5 Monitor configuration.
Selecting Linux Server via the Host Wizard will automatically add NRPE checks to the new server.
If not using the Host Wizard then you will need to select the Add UNIX Client Services(NRPE) checkbox in the Service Checks section of the new hosts configuration page.
After clicking on the Add Services button at the base of this page you will have a choice of services to monitor via NRPE. e.g.

- Current users
- System load
- Disk usage
- Total processes
- Zombie Processes
- Rsyslog Process
- Swap usage
Note: You may need to do minor changes to the services you add, depending on how your server is configured.
