Opsview Cloud - Removing a service check from Nimbus

This guide refers to removing of a service check from Nimbus monitoring.

Problem Copied

When a client removes a service check from their monitoring, it needs to be removed from Nimbus monitoring to prevent false critical alerts.

Solution Copied

  1. Log in to Nimbus.

  2. In the Navigator, under Opsview Cloud, click the Cloud Production dropdown menu.

  3. Select the client that requires a service check to be removed, then open its dropdown list.

  4. From the expanded (collapsible) list, select the appropriate collector and click Edit Configuration for Host. (Abion_opsview in this example)

  5. Navigate to the Service Checks section.

  6. Locate the service check that needs to be removed and check its box. ( OMC - Unix Load Average for this example. )

  7. Select the Exclude from this host checkbox that appears.

  8. Click Submit Changes.

  9. Finally, click Apply Changes to complete the process.
