How to solve Active Console crash on VMware workstation?

Issue: The crash occurs if the vm3dgl64.dll file is loaded on the machine. An error similar to below is reported in the windows Event Viewer:

Solution: To prevent the vm3dgl64.dll from crashing the Active Console, remove the vm3dgl64.dll file from the VMWare workstation.
