How to solve Mapping Errors when using a Collection Agent Plugin
I am seeing the following errors in my netprobe log file.
2025-04-23 11:58:06.566+0100 ERROR: DynamicEntities No mapper matches the metric ‘config.datastoreUrl.name|EntityId=vm-18|EntityType=VirtualMachine|Group=info|Name=VMware vCenter Server 8|vSphereConnection=https://192.168.101.140/sdk’. It will be ignored
And in my Dynamic Entities dataview I am seeing invalid metrics being listed.
To solve this issue first right click any cell under the name column and choose Show Dynamic Mappings
A pop up window will appear with information - something like below
You will need to compare this with your Mapping defined in your configuration
You can see with the Connection label in the mapping it does not exist anymore (in the above window it is not present)
You will need to change this for the information that was shown in the Show Dynamic Mappings output window - either remove the highlighted in red above or modify it - like the change below would address this problem
