How to setup a calendar so that alerts are not triggered for holidays

You can create a “Holiday” active time by defining the scheduled periods with the Override checkbox.

Note: If the Override checkbox is selected, it should display a solid tick as the screen capture here. In older versions of Gateway Setup Editor, the default value shows a grey tick, which actually means not selected. The display issue AA-4286 had been fixed in version GA4.7, so please make sure your Geneos version is up to date.

You can then reuse this “Holidays” definition in your existing active times as in the below screen capture.

You will be able to use the active time in various gateway configurations such as rules, actions and plugins as needed.
