How to open PuTTY sessions directly from the Active Console

Prerequisites Copied

The following application needs to be installed on the user’s laptop/desktop:

• PuTTY application
• A supported Active Console version

Steps Copied

1. Configure a command that targets a cell where the command needs to be executed

   • runLocation = client

   • arg 1

     • option = static
     • value = full path of the PuTTY exe file e.g. “C:\Program Files\PuTTY\putty.exe”

   • arg 2

     • option = xpath
     • value = ancestor-or-self::probe/parameters/@HostName

   • 

2. Save the configuration

3. Right click on the target cell

   • 

4. Click on the command name e.g. Run PuTTY client

   •
