FKM - Where to set the Active Time to avoid false alerts for maintenance periods
Set it on the File and FKM table Copied
The FKM plugin has several Active Time settings. To avoid false alerts, users should set the Active Time on the FKM File or FKM Table.
Configuration Copied
FKM File Copied
FKM Table Copied
Active Time on the Sampler level Copied
Warning Copied
This can trigger a false alert.
If an Active Time of 09:30 - 16:00 is configured at the FKM Sampler’s Advanced tab, the whole FKM sampler pauses after 16:00. The file pointer recorded by FKM plugin stays at this point while the sampler is inactive. If there is an error pattern written to the monitored file during the inactive period (e.g. 16:03), when FKM plugin resumes at 09:30 the next day, the plugin will continue to read from the previous file pointer, detect the 16:03 error pattern and trigger a (false) alert.
