Which components should be running on my DR orchestrator?

If your Opsview environment is a Disaster Recovery system, different components need to run on your primary and secondary orchestrators. When you fail over from your primary to your secondary orchestrator, the components running on each orchestrator should switch.

Primary orchestrator Copied

All Opsview components should be running on your primary orchestrator. When you run

/opt/opsview/watchdog/bin/opsview-monit summary -B

every component’s status should be Running.

Secondary orchestrator Copied

The only Opsview components that should be running on your secondary orchestrator are:

• opsview-watchdog

• opsview-messagequeue

• opsview-loadbalancer

• opsview-datastore

• opsview-agent / infrastructure-agent (whichever you are currently using)

  Every other component’s status should read Not monitored when you run

/opt/opsview/watchdog/bin/opsview-monit summary -B
