Opsview version 6.11.7 Scheduled Downtime issues on service check level
Problem Copied
There is a known issue in Opsview version 6.11.7 where users are unable to apply scheduled downtime directly to service checks. When attempting to do so, the interface remains stuck on “Loading”, preventing the downtime from being applied.
Diagnosis Copied
Our Engineering Team is fixing this issue under Jira OP-75953.
- Once fixed, this will be viewable in the Release Notes for that version.
Workaround Copied
While service-level downtime is affected, host-level scheduled downtime continues to work as expected. You may use this as a workaround to place service checks into downtime. Below are the two recommended approaches.
Getting started Copied
- Navigate to the host where the service check is configured.
- Click the hamburger menu next to the host.
- Select Schedule Downtime.
For example, in the screenshot provided, the host opsview is used to apply downtime to a service check.
From there, configure the downtime schedule and add a comment as usual. You can then choose one of the following methods:
- Status-Based Selection
- General Selection
-
Via Status Based Selection
-
Select by current service status, then
-
Manually select specific service checks
-
-
-
Via General Selection
- Select the current host.
- Choose the service check(s) you wish to place in downtime.
- Click Add Service Checks.
-
The selected service checks will appear in the section below. Review the details, then click Submit to apply the downtime.
Additional note Copied
If a user does not have ADMINACCESS permissions, they will not be able to access the new downtime page, as it now uses the following URL:
https://<host>/scheduled-downtime
As a workaround, you may use the old URL below instead:
https://<host>/monitoring/#!/downtime
